- Have a minimum of three publications and/ or an audio tape (in the case of performance poets).
- Have over a year of performance experience.
- Have some form of web page on which your poetry can be read.
Bear in mind that you've also got to be good poet by my standards, so just checking all these qualifications might not actually guarantee you a guest slot. Also, even if we're close friends, that doesn't mean I'll say yes any more than if we were complete strangers. Equally, if I reckon you're good enough, you might not even need these three. However, we do have certain niche groups we like to support and we may be more inclined to give you the slot if:
- You're a young poet with two or more of the above.
- You suffer from a mental illness or have a disability but have all of the above.
- You have never had a guest slot before but have all of the above.
- You only have one or more of these, but know somebody who has all of these and can give you a positive referral.
If you qualify with all of the above, please email me your writer's CV/ make yourself sound good and tell me what you've done to charlottehenson93@gmail.com
If you are selected as a guest poet you will:
- Have a fifteen minute guest slot at Once More With Meaning along with one other guest poet.
- Receive, along with the other guest, half the night's takings to split between you however you like.
- Have permission to set up a table with any books, recordings or other merchandise you would like to sell/ promote (provided there is room).
- Be promoted on any pages relating to Once More With Meaning (namely this blog, the Facebook event, The Met's website, Bury Collective, to name a few.)
